Description

The BlackBerry Router is the gateway to the BlackBerry SRP Infrastructure, Desktop computers and WiFi connected devices. It determines if packets delivery is directed via the Internet to the BlackBerry SRP Infrastructure, or routed using a TCP/IP network connection. When a BlackBerry device is connected to a desktop, the BlackBerry Device Manager uses a TCP/IP connection to allow the Router to transact data to the BlackBerry device and thus bypasses the wireless network.

Internally, the BlackBerry Dispatcher receives packets from, and sends packets to the Router.
