BES Logging
The
BES creates text logs for the major components of the server. This is a summary of the components on
BES 4.1:
Each day, the
BES creates a new set of logs.
Using Explorer to open the Log File location
The simplest method to reliably locate the BlackBerry Server logs is to use the Windows Control Panel applet:
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Click on the BlackBerry Server Configuration icon.
- Click on the Logging tab.
- To the left of the Browse button, there is a file path.
- Select all of the file path text and copy it to the clipboard.
- From the Windows Start Menu, choose RUN
- Paste in the File path of the BES Logs.
- Choose OK and the Logs folder will open.
- Sort the view by date so that the most recently modified items are at the top.
