Mandatory Contact Lists

Mandatory Contact Lists (MCL) allow for critical contact information to be pushed to a users contacts folder ensuring that required contacts needed in an emergency are synchronized with the users mail client and handheld device. These lists can be based off of specific contact information or on Active Directory (AD) distribution lists.

Configuration

A Mandatory Contact List (MCL) can be created using an Alternate Contact Source or can be created using the Mandatory Contact List container located under EPS within the itrezzoAgent Administrator.

Using a Public Folder

  1. Open the itrezzoAgent Administrator and expand the EPS container
  2. Expand the Alternate Contact Sources container and locate your public folder
  3. Right Click the public folder and select Make Mandatory Contact List
  4. Under Target: Authorized Recipients use the select button to pick specific users or AD distribution lists from the Global Address List (GAL)
  5. Select the OK button

Using the Mandatory Contact List Container

  1. Open the itrezzoAgent Administrator and expand the EPS container
  2. Right Click the Mandatory Contacts container and select Add MCL (Target is Users Mailbox)
  3. Create a List Name for your MCL. This name will appear as the category header within a users contact lists. This allows for a quick search for contact information when required.
  4. Create an optional description for the MCL
  5. Under Source: Mandatory Contacts use the select button to pick specific users or Active Directory (AD) distribution groups from the Global Address List (GAL).
    • The Source information is the contact information which is to be distributed within the MCL
  6. Under Target: Authorized Recipients use the select button to pick specific users or Active Directory (AD) distribution lists from the Global Address List (GAL)
    • The Target information is the contact information for those that are to receive the MCL
  7. The administrator may choose to view the membership of the source and target to verify the contact information in the MCL is being appropriated to the correct users. This can be done by selecting the Members button within the MCL properties.
  8. Select the OK button

The next time that EPS is run, the MCL you have created will be pushed to the target recipients. It is important to note that the only users which will receive the Mandatory Contact List are those which have been licensed under itrezzo.
