How to change itrezzoAgent service account password
In this scenario, the itrezzoAgent Server is also a
BES. For this example. assume that both are installed on VM-BES1 and uses the following service account: BESadmin. The
itrezzoAgent server is also installed using the same credentials. In order to change the password for
itrezzoAgent service account, please complete the steps below.
BES Password Configuration
The following additional steps are required for
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP1, SP2 and 5.0 SP3:
- Open the BlackBerry Server Configuration application
- Click Administration Service - AD Settings
- Update the User Password field with the new AD password
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
- Restart the BlackBerry Administration Service Application Service and BlackBerry Administration Service Native Code Container services.
Component Services Configuration
The itrezzoAgent MAME service is used for BlackBerry PINBlast and for BlackBerry Browser Channels. If you change the service account password, the password is used on the itrezzoAgent COM objects so it too must be changed:
- Login to the itrezzoAgent server using the service account and the new password
- Open Windows Component Services
 Open Component services |
- Expand Component Services-Computers-My Computer-COM+ Applications and select itrezzo Agent Utilities
 Expand COM+ Application and select itrezzo Agent Utilities |
- Right Click on itrezzo Agent Utilities and choose Shut down
 Right click on itrezzo Agent Utilities and Select Shutdown |
- Right Click on itrezzo Agent Utilities again and Choose Properties. itrezzo Agent Utilities Properties Window will appear
 Go to itrezzo Agent Utilities Properties |
- Go to the Identity tab and update Password and Confirm password field with the new password. Click OK
 Type in itrezzoAgent service account password in password fields |
- Now Right click on itrezzo Agent Utilities and choose start
 Right click on itrezzo Agent Utilities and Select Start |
- Close the Component Services window.
Windows Services Configuration
- Open Windows services management console
- Stop all itrezzoAgent services in the following sequential order
[itrezzoAgent, itrezzoAgent Watchdog, itrezzo ECO Platform (if available), and itrezzoAgent connector for EverBridge (if available)] - Open each of the itrezzoAgent services and change the password under log on tab
[Please be inform that itrezzoAgent services shouldn't be run under Local service account] - From Windows services console, start itrezzoAgent, itrezzoAgent Watchdog, itrezzo ECO Platform (if available), and itrezzoAgent Connector for EverBridge (if available) in sequential order
- Launch itrezzoAgent Administrator
- Select servers container on the left. Verify that itrezzoAgent server's icon appears solid Green. [Press F5 to refresh]
- Run EPS on demand on a single mailbox (use data from cached reference file and don't refetch option)
- When mailbox update is complete, refresh the itrezzoAgent Administrator
- Make sure the “Last Update” is current in EPS user statistics for the user just tested
- Close itrezzoAgent Administrator
