Description

The itrezzoAgent Administrator (IA-Admin.EXE) is used to configure, run tasks on demand, and view status of the itrezzoAgent Server. The User Interface is patterned after the Microsoft Management Console, although not actually an MMC snap in.

The interfaces consists of a navigation bar on the left, and a contents payne on the right. Each top level container represents a feature, or a repository for physical objects, such as servers or handhelds

Installation

The admin program is installed by default with the itrezzoAgent Server and it can optionally be installed in a standalone configuration on any of the following platforms:

  • Windows XP
  • Windows 2000, 2003
  • Windows Vista

It requires a MAPI subsystem to open the itrezzoAgent mailbox so it will run on any system that has Microsoft Outlook, the Exchange System Manager, or the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 package. The administrator program does not require CDO to be installed.

The administrator program opens the itezzoAgent service account mailbox to read and write configuration changes. Any Windows Logon identity with "mailbox owner" permissions can perform this managament. When starting or stopping from the Servers container, local administrative permissions on the target machine are also required.

TroubleShooting

If the itrezzoAgent Administrator has trouble connecting to the service account mailbox, launch it from the command line with the /init parameter:

"c:\program files\itrezzoAgent\IA-Admin.EXE" /init
